[Happy Wedding!]

Wen Jiu smiled and replied with a thank you. She remembered promising long ago to go shopping with Yu Keyan, and she planned to invite her out soon.

In truth, while Yu Keyan had unilaterally cast her as a rival, she had never actually done anything to hurt her. She didn’t resort to underhanded tactics behind her back; she only ever threw a few barbs when they met in person. Wen Jiu actually quite liked Yu Keyan’s personality—she was straightforward, spoke her mind, and never beat around the bush. Dealing with someone like that was actually quite simple.

Gu Zehuai brought Wen Jiu to the villa where he had once taken her to watch a movie. The interior style was vastly different from what it had been back then.

Wen Jiu was puzzled, wondering when he had renovated the place. Gu Zehuai explained, "I didn't renovate it; I just made a few small changes. This is the style you like."

Only then did Wen Jiu realize that he had bought this villa two years ago. What she had seen initially was just the decor he had chosen at random, but now the overall aesthetic had been shifted to align with her personal taste.

"Jiu Jiu, leave the soft furnishings to you. Just send whatever you like to Chen Yi."

"Is this supposed to be our wedding house?" Wen Jiu asked.

Gu Zehuai didn't answer directly. "If you want it to be, it can be." He added, "If you don't like it here, we can choose another place."

Wen Jiu shook her head. The villa was in a prime location, making it convenient to get to the office and visit the Wen family home. Living here would be just fine.

Gu Zehuai walked straight to the sofa cabinet, knelt down, and pulled out a thick stack of documents.

"Jiu Jiu, these are all the real estate properties currently under my name. They are all yours now."

Wen Jiu was shocked. As she flipped through them, she realized that not only did Gu Zehuai own property in many cities across the country, but he also held quite a few abroad.

Fearing she might refuse, Gu Zehuai added, "Jiu Jiu, we are married now. What is mine is yours. Transferring these to your name is for your security. Besides, these were all earned through my own efforts, independent of my family. Think of this as my bridal gift to you."

Wen Jiu was moved. The Gu family’s formal betrothal gifts would naturally be substantial, and the dowry the Wen family had prepared for her was no less impressive, but Gu Zehuai’s words clearly meant he was entrusting his entire fortune to her.

Touched, Wen Jiu nodded and signed the papers.

Once finished, Gu Zehuai tossed the transfer deeds aside, swept Wen Jiu up into his arms, and headed toward the master bedroom. "Jiu Jiu, tonight is our wedding night. A moment of spring is worth a thousand pieces of gold."

Wen Jiu buried her face in his chest and whispered, "I haven't showered yet..."

"Then we'll shower together."

That night, they both learned exactly what it meant to be wild.

Wen Jiu’s waist was so sore she didn't want to move, yet she found herself wondering if Gu Zehuai had been secretly taking some kind of advanced course—how could he know so many things?

As it turned out, Gu Zehuai had indeed been studying quite a bit, and later on, he even dragged Wen Jiu along to learn with him.

—

When Wen Jiu woke up, she finally had the time to take a careful look at the bedroom. She discovered that the decor was almost identical to that of her own apartment.

Gu Zehuai was making lunch. Wen Jiu went downstairs only after washing up.

Seeing his back as he cooked, she walked over, wrapped her arms around his waist from behind, and rubbed her cheek against his back.

"Jiu Jiu, stop rubbing," Gu Zehuai said, stepping forward slightly to put some distance between them.

His voice carried a hidden implication: "You didn't get tired enough last night, did you?"

Wen Jiu froze, then quietly let go.
