The blaring of car horns echoed incessantly, and only then did the three, after the collision, slowly regain consciousness inside the vehicle.

Wu Jue awoke abruptly, surveying the interior. Both sisters had fainted, and there was a distinct smell of leaking fuel. Most alarming, the front of the car was already catching fire.

It was clear the vehicle would soon explode. Wu Jue strained to free his limbs and kicked open the door, pulling Meimei out first.

Then, he raced against time to extract Lili from the driver’s seat. Unfortunately, she was trapped in place, and several desperate attempts failed to release her.

The flames were quickly spreading inside. Left with no choice, Wu Jue tore Lili’s seatbelt, twisted off the steering wheel, and, in the struggle, ripped most of her jeans before finally managing to drag her out.

As the two staggered onto the ground, the car exploded with a thunderous roar. Luckily, Wu Jue rolled over and shielded Lili beneath him, narrowly escaping the blast.

Once the explosion was over, he rose and looked at the wrecked vehicle and at Xiao Yang, who lay unconscious not far away. It seemed rescuing Xiao Han was now impossible.

Three injured people awaited his aid; how could he possibly save anyone else?

Wu Jue, resigned, revived the sisters one by one, then went to check on Xiao Yang.

Fortunately, Xiao Yang was wearing armor. Though he had taken a hard fall, the armor’s protective systems helped him recover.

Now awake, Xiao Yang said to Wu Jue, “It’s humiliating to be outmaneuvered like this. Clearly, the Heaven’s Wrath Clan came prepared this time, and their opponent is extremely cunning.”

Wu Jue replied, “I saw it too. What exactly happened just now?”

It turned out Xiao Yang had pursued the enemy relentlessly. Just as he was about to catch up, the one holding Xiao Han revealed a mysterious weapon.

His adversary launched a sudden attack. Xiao Yang managed to dodge, but the projectiles circled back, blasting him away.

That was how the previous scene unfolded.

Wu Jue’s mood darkened. Why did the enemy want to capture Xiao Han? Was it, as before, to study the Mirror Hero’s body?

And what about the mysterious organization that appeared so suddenly? The female assassin lurking in the hotel clearly suspected the Heaven’s Wrath Clan’s plans from the start.

It seemed more than one group was targeting the Heaven’s Wrath Clan—others were ready to oppose them.

Wu Jue and Xiao Yang exchanged information, planning to rush to City C to regroup and attempt to rescue Xiao Han.

Just then, Lili, who had come to, suddenly cried out. She had noticed her jeans had been cut short, revealing her pale thighs, and was now loudly complaining.

“Wu Jue, you lecherous monk! Did you do this on purpose to embarrass me? Look what you’ve done to my pants!”

Lili, relentless, came over to berate Wu Jue, but soon realized her jeans were so ruined she couldn’t walk without risking exposure.

She sat back down, her face crimson, silent.

Wu Jue now blushed deeply. He’d been so focused on saving lives that he hadn’t thought of anything else.

He said to Xiao Yang, “We need to find a way out quickly. Can we find some transportation and maybe two sets of clothes?”

Meimei chimed in, “My sister doesn’t wear skirts, and her waist size is—”

“Shut up, Meimei! Stop talking nonsense!” Lili’s face grew even redder. “Just find me something to wear. Pick something large.”

Wu Jue and Xiao Yang hurried off to look for solutions. Only after distancing themselves did they allow themselves to laugh.

Xiao Yang said, “Master, your method is ingenious. I’ve never seen those two sisters submit to anyone before, but now they’re truly subdued.”

Wu Jue rubbed his head, uncomfortable. “Xiao Yang, don’t tease me. This was out of necessity. May Buddha forgive me.”

Xiao Yang remarked, “I heard from Xiao Han that those two girls have tricked you both before. Is this Buddhist karma, retribution in action?”

Wu Jue replied, “The Buddha says: it cannot be spoken.”

As they spoke, they reached the ruined hotel ahead. Most people had already left; the place was a shambles.

Xiao Yang bravely searched inside and actually found some clothes, though they turned out to be maid uniforms for the staff.

He held them up and laughed, “Master, do you think Lili would wear this?”

Wu Jue sighed inwardly—what a mess. Yet, looking around, there was nowhere else to find replacement clothes.

He said, “We need a vehicle; we can’t walk all the way back.”

Xiao Yang checked the area and found two bicycles, which he pushed over. “Let’s make do with these?”

Wu Jue thought there was no other choice. He and Xiao Yang each mounted a bicycle and rode back to find the sisters.

Lili and Meimei were at the roadside, fervently scolding Wu Jue and Xiao Yang, blaming Meimei for her carelessness, which led to Lili’s embarrassment in front of strangers.

Meimei laughed, “Sis, you’re so shy. Maybe you like the master?”

Lili retorted, “Nonsense! He’s a high monk, pure and virtuous. Don’t try to ruin his reputation.”

The sisters’ conversation was overheard by Wu Jue and Xiao Yang as they returned, making the moment even more awkward.

Wu Jue pretended not to hear, coughed, and said, “Ladies, we’re back. Do these clothes suit you?”

He parked the bikes and waited for Meimei to collect the clothes. Meimei was delighted, bringing them over, “Sis, you’re in luck. Look what they brought!”

Lili glanced at them, her face reddening further. She stomped her feet, “How can I wear this? Isn’t this bullying? I’d rather go out as I am!”

But realizing Wu Jue and Xiao Yang were watching, she quickly grabbed the clothes and hid.

Wu Jue and Xiao Yang tactfully turned their backs, explaining, “There really are no better options. Please bear with it.”

Lili finally steeled herself and put on the maid uniform, letting Meimei stand guard. She complained, “Why didn’t you bring matching items—stockings, shoes, accessories? Only half a costume—what’s the point?”

Despite her protests, she hurriedly changed and stepped out, “No need to turn away—I’m done.”

Wu Jue and Xiao Yang turned to see Lili in the maid outfit. Her hair was unstyled, and she wore no stockings, exposing her beautiful legs. With high heels, she looked striking.

Xiao Yang coughed, “If we’re ready, shall we set off? Who wants a ride?”

Seeing the bicycles, Meimei pouted in dissatisfaction. Lili pointed at Wu Jue, “Master, you made me look ridiculous, so you must give me a ride as compensation.”

She climbed onto Wu Jue’s bike, wrapped her arms around him, and commanded, “Drive! Hurry up!”

Wu Jue glanced at Xiao Yang, then silently pedaled away.

Later, Lili would complain she’d boarded a pirate ship—Wu Jue’s rather unskilled cycling made her backside sore.
