"Who says it won't work? I still have a trump card I haven't used!" Fat Tiger gave up on the Gundam model, reached out to pull another robot toy from his stash, and slammed it onto the ground.

Instantly, a red robot sprang up before him, transforming directly into a fighter jet. Fat Tiger climbed into the cockpit. "Ha! Pretty impressive, isn't it? This time, I’ve transformed into a limited-edition 20th-anniversary Starscream. Think you can handle me?"

Wujue was bewildered. The situation had escalated again; now the robots could even transform. Seeing this, Xun'er shouted, "You're cheating! We're switching players too—my turn, let me handle this!"

Before they could even finish their exchange, the Starscream-jet dove straight toward Wujue. Wujue raised a hand, muttering "What on earth is this?" as a powerful, frigid chill coalesced around his arm, blasting the jet away.

This intense frost was no mere parlor trick. As Fat Tiger maneuvered the jet in a mid-air loop and prepared to dive again, a massive combined robot suddenly materialized out of thin air and snatched the jet by its tail.

"I think it’s about time I had some fun, too," a voice said. It was Tel, who had conjured a composite robot to grab Fat Tiger’s plane and hurl it away.

In a flash, the jet traced a graceful arc through the sky and vanished into nothingness.

"Finally, those people are taken care of," Wujue sighed, thinking he could finally breathe a sigh of relief.

Tel returned and said, "Now that the fight is over, let's get down to business."

Wujue looked at the defeated assassins and began giving orders. "Time is tight. Since you've lost, there should be no more objections. I need to find a way out of here immediately, and I might need your help. If there are no objections, take thirty minutes to rest and prepare to move out."

The Twin Assassins lay on the ground and signaled their agreement with a raise of their hands. Violet and the little boy had already been silenced by Alice and Miaopu, and as for the unlucky Fat Tiger, he was already being ignored.

The group gathered to discuss their next steps. Wujue recounted the sighting of the mysterious Taoist priest. Since this place was not safe to linger in, they had to leave as soon as possible.

Xun'er asked curiously, "Why can't we stay here longer? Honestly, I quite like the anime convention and the movie city here. Can't we stay a while?"

Tel replied, "It’s best to suppress your curiosity for now. Nobody knows what will happen next, and we’ve already wasted too much time."

At this, Xun'er shot a disgruntled look at Alice and the companions who had been hunting her. Alice simply lowered her head, offering no reaction.

Xun'er began casting a sorcery spell to locate the optimal exit, while the others rested to recover their strength.

Wujue gazed at the sun on the horizon, lamenting, "After all this chaos, why does it still feel like it's only three or four o'clock? Is time moving too slowly?"

"Is it really three or four?" Miaopu asked curiously, scratching his head. "I always feel like the time here is wrong. My instincts tell me it should be at least six o'clock by now."

"Oh no, this is bad!" Xun'er suddenly stopped her divination. "We've been deceived. It’s already past seven. The sun is nothing but an illusion. If we want to leave, we must go now."

The group hadn't realized that while they were caught up in their battle, several hours had slipped away. Once they realized the danger, they rushed toward the direction of the anime convention.

Upon crossing the threshold of the convention, they found it ablaze with lights—night had fallen.

Terrifyingly, the scene at the convention had completely changed. The square was filled with oppressively heavy, dissonant music. The once-vibrant crowd now moved with deadened, zombie-like expressions, wandering aimlessly.

As soon as they sensed the intrusion of outsiders, the crowd turned their heads in unison, eyes glazed, and began to swarm toward Wujue’s group like sleepwalkers.

Violet drew her weapon, ready to strike, but Wujue stopped her. "Don't attack. They aren't fully awake yet; perhaps they will be different by tomorrow. Just find a way to escape."

The group dodged the wall of living dead, struggling to reach the exit of the convention hall.

Miaopu led the way, using his feline agility to weave through the crowd, quickly finding a path out. He leapt onto the highest stage, looked around, and beckoned to Wujue.

The others dispersed, holding their breath and trying their best not to alert the living dead to their movements. This tactic seemed effective; the living dead suddenly lost track of the group's presence and resumed wandering aimlessly across the square.

As the commotion subsided, they each began to find ways to move toward the exit.

Wujue led the charge, using his light-foot skills to dash and weave, reaching the center of the square in a flash. Unfortunately, the crowd was too dense; most of them had gathered at the entrance, making it difficult to slip past.

Hiding beside a stage, he looked back to check on the others. Alice and Miaopu were safe on higher ground. Alice followed behind Xun'er, cloaked by sorcery, carefully drawing closer. As for Tel, he had cleverly hidden himself with mirrors, leaving no gaps for detection.

However, the Twin Assassins were not so lucky. A dispute broke out between Violet and the little boy. The pair, who had once acted as mother and son, seemed no longer unified.

Perhaps dissatisfied with each other's performance, they sabotaged one another while trying to avoid the living dead and reach the exit.

Just then, two of the living dead wandered toward Violet. She failed to retreat in time, bumping into the side of the stage and causing a commotion that drew the figures toward her.

In a moment of desperation, she grabbed a prop and smashed it against the little boy, creating a loud noise.

The living dead were instantly jolted into action, lunging toward the boy’s position and tearing at him. The boy unleashed his supernatural ability, expanding all his hair into a defensive barrier, which blasted the encroaching figures away.

Bristling with his hair standing on end, he roared at Violet, "Why did you sabotage me? Weren't we the best partners? Did you ever even think of me as family?"

"Family?" Violet chuckled. "Are you joking? We're fighting for our lives here! Who has time for that? Besides, with your skills, you should be able to protect yourself."

With that, Violet turned and fled toward the entrance.

The boy was enraged. He gave chase, suddenly whipping his long black hair forward to ensnare Violet’s legs and drag her to the ground.

"You ruined me! I'm not done with you!" In his fury, he realized he was now surrounded by the living dead and decided to give up entirely. "If I’m going down, we’re all getting trapped here together!"

Violet, held by the hair and dragged back, was immediately swarmed and pinned down by the living dead.

Watching their companions foolishly destroy each other, the Twin Assassins couldn't help but sigh.

"Foolish woman, and a pathetic child."

"How did we ever form a team with people like them?"

The two brothers looked at each other and smiled. "Brother, we won't end up like them, right?"

"Of course! Younger brother, we’ve been through so much; we’ll be the ones who survive."

The brothers nodded, affirming their bond. But at that moment, several living dead had already wandered over. Hearing their dialogue, the creatures made soft, mocking chuckling sounds. The brothers grew angry. "What are you laughing at? What’s so funny about us?"

The older twin reacted first, shoving his brother. "What are you doing? Are you trying to get us killed? Move!"

He tried to pull his brother away, but the younger one dissolved into a shadow, slipping from his grasp. "I don't need to hide. As a shadow, I can escape faster than any of you. Take care, big brother."

He abandoned his brother to his fate and fled alone.

Watching his brother’s heartless choice, the twin sneered, pulled out his pistol, and fired.

*Bang! Bang!* Several shots rang out, downing a few of the living dead, but the noise only drew even more opponents. The situation had become completely dire.
