Unconsciously, he saw the Taoist vanish before his eyes. Intending to pursue, he rushed to the forest entrance, only to witness the shadows of the trees stirring as if everything within had come to life.

Such a miraculous occurrence was clearly the legendary Qimen Armor technique. He knew he could not calmly unravel this mystery and reluctantly gave up.

Turning back toward the street, he sought to regroup with others. Unexpectedly, the first to rush toward him was Miaopu, sprinting and shouting, “Unconscious, hurry! The enemy has caught up again—they’re ready to fight to the death!”

Hearing this persistent threat, Unconscious followed Miaopu out. Upon arriving at the commercial street entrance, he saw Alice locked in a silent confrontation with the mother from the mother-and-child assassins.

The two women exchanged cold glances without a word, subtly shifting positions as if searching for the perfect moment to strike.

It seemed there was some misunderstanding between them. Unconscious stepped forward and asked, “What’s this? Planning a massacre right here?”

The woman facing Alice had changed her attire, looking significantly younger—almost the same age as Alice. With a faint smile, she said, “You’ve always ranked above me in the organization, but today, perhaps it’s time to change that.”

Alice sneered, “What, I’m demoted, and you haven’t taken my place? Were you pushed aside, or are you just falling behind? Violet!”

Unconscious noticed the woman’s lips were smeared with deep purple lipstick, exuding a mysterious aura.

Violet chuckled, “How amusing. The organization has always favored you. They said as long as you’re alive, your position is secure. That damned deputy leader even said you’d return someday. I just want to help end this cursed bond.”

Alice’s expression darkened at Violet’s words. She seemed displeased with the revelation and abruptly lunged, grabbing a shard of tile from the ground and stabbing toward Violet’s neck.

Though both women appeared delicate, their combat was fierce. Without hesitation, Unconscious leapt forward, grabbing them and forcibly separating the two with powerful strength.

“There’s no need to rush to kill each other. Let’s wait until everyone is here before settling this. What about your people?” he asked Violet.

At that moment, two figures approached quickly, battling in midair before soaring over everyone's heads.

Unconscious looked up and recognized Ter and the man he had danced with earlier, locked in a fierce fight. Behind them, the child charged headfirst toward Unconscious and Alice, his hair instantly bristling into sharp spikes.

Before the child could reach them, Miaopu let out a fierce howl, leaping onto the boy’s neck and yanking his hair, shaking loose a swarm of cat fleas that had the child squirming in unbearable itchiness.

While attacking the child’s hair, Miaopu told Unconscious, “I’ve got this little guy. You keep going!”

Without hesitation, Unconscious soared up to intercept the two fighters midair. “Enough! Are you really going to fight to the death here? We’re all in danger. If we can’t get out, we might all die here.”

“Cut the crap!” a voice came from below, interrupting him. Just as Unconscious joined Ter’s fight, another opponent ambushed him from beneath.

Sensing someone had suddenly appeared below, Unconscious suspected hidden enemies. He summoned his true energy, and suddenly, formidable power condensed around his feet as protective armor manifested.

In an instant, metallic armor encased his legs, emitting a fierce cold that blasted the assailant back to the ground.

Looking down, Unconscious saw the opponent vanish the moment he touched the earth.

A shadow, indeed!

In midair, Ter’s opponent sneered, “No need to look further—that’s my damned twin brother. He’s used to hiding in shadows. Now that we’re in the sunlight, this is your death trap.”

“Is that so?” Unconscious snorted coldly, swiftly arming his entire body with the new armor.

This latest equipment was impressive, astonishing everyone present.

The assassin leader in midair exclaimed, “You can control armor? How is that possible?”

Before he could finish, Ter seized the opportunity, sending a shard of mirror-like light crashing down, striking the assassin leader and forcing him to the ground. The unlucky twin brother failed to emerge from the shadows and was pushed back again.

Amid the stunned crowd admiring Unconscious’s armor, Xun’er’s voice suddenly rang out excitedly, “Amazing! Unconscious, your armor is so cool. When it’s my turn, take me along to play!”

Behind her, a stout man was panting heavily, nearly speechless. Seeing Unconscious fully armored, he was visibly shocked.

“No way, oh my God! Where did this white Gundam come from?” the stout man exclaimed, revealing himself as a devoted otaku.

Unconscious paid no mind to their reactions. Flying before the assassin leader, he demanded, “I don’t want to massacre you, but now’s the time for cooperation. Do you want to fight to the death, or work with me?”

The leader glanced at his armor, sneering, “My twins have never submitted. This fight won’t end so easily! Since we’re in the film city, why not make it civilized?”

“Civilized? Like playing a game?” Xun’er interjected.

“There are so many props here; of course, we’re playing cosplay!” the stout man behind her excitedly shouted. “Let’s see who can survive the limited script!”

Miaopu couldn’t help but say, “That’s just an infinite run!”

Unconscious shook his head, “I don’t get it.”

The twin assassins laughed, “I can teach you until you understand.”

“Too bad we don’t have much time,” Ter said, glancing at the sun overhead. Its light was fading; dusk was near.

When night fell, the people at the anime festival would fall asleep. If they didn’t finish before dawn, they’d be trapped here.

Unconscious understood the urgency. Grabbing one of the twins to stop him, his body suddenly shuddered as if something had invaded him.

His expression shifted; a faint smile appeared. “Alright then, let’s have some fun.”

His voice changed—like a mischievous youth—and his face grew pale and sinister, unsettling his companions.

The twins nodded, “Good. Who goes first?”

Sensing something was wrong, Xun’er approached Unconscious and asked, “Great Monk, are you alright?”

Before she could touch him, a chilling aura pressed in as a shadow circled above Unconscious’s head.

He was possessed by a ghost—no wonder his demeanor changed so drastically.

Unconscious turned, asking with a menacing smile, “Who wants to go first?”

Miaopu sighed, “I will.”

He calmly stepped forward, telling Xun’er, “Don’t worry, I’ve got this. Hey, kid over there, want to come settle the score?”

Miaopu summoned the child he had just defeated to face him again.

The boy, still itching from the flea attack, eagerly accepted, “Of course! If I win, I’ll tear you to pieces, skin you alive.”

Miaopu shuddered, licking his paws. “You’re so cruel—I better watch out or the cat gang will whip you posthumously.”

With that, he wagged his tail and slipped deeper into the film city’s shadows.
