Wujue found himself surrounded by the horde of zombies when suddenly the ground began to tremble violently. Above his head, utility poles, billboards, and even the towering buildings all started to collapse, crashing down onto the zombies below. One after another, they were pulverized into a gruesome mess of mangled flesh and shattered bones—a truly ghastly sight.

Amidst the chaos, a strange occurrence unfolded, as though a path had been deliberately cleared. A dozen cars surged forward, collided at a single spot, and piled atop one another, creating a makeshift ramp. Seizing the opportunity, Wujue climbed swiftly upwards, drawing closer to the airship overhead. Huron emerged from the vessel just in time, waving to beckon Wujue aboard.

With a powerful leap, Wujue soared four or five meters into the air, nearly grasping Huron’s outstretched hand. But at that very moment, Becker’s hulking figure burst forth from beneath the car heap—astonishingly, he had come back to life.

In a flash, Becker seized Wujue’s legs, bellowing, “The fight’s not over yet! Did you think you could just run away?”

Wujue struck back, delivering a palm blow to Becker’s forehead that sent blood streaming down his face. “I, Wujue, have never fled from battle,” he declared angrily.

Summoning the formidable power of the Golden Bell Shield, Wujue unleashed a surge of energy that shook Becker loose. In that instant, Huron gripped Wujue’s arm, pulled hard, and together they finally made it into the airship.

Barely had they caught their breath when, below, Becker was hoisted into the air by the still-living zombies and hurled skyward—he was coming after them again.

Xiao Yang immediately adjusted the airship’s particle cannon, readying a shot to strike Becker down. But before he could fire, Death strode from the cabin door, looked back, and declared, “This city belongs to me. Allow me to defend it to the very end. Farewell, my friends—remember my name: Death, Tian Yang.”

With that, the man called Tian Yang leapt from the airship, plunging through the air in a bizarre arc straight toward Becker.

The two collided with astonishing force. Death’s overwhelming power brought instant misfortune upon Becker. First, the overhead wires lashed out and wound around Becker’s massive form, ensnaring him completely. Then, the tubes trailing from his back inexplicably snapped, spewing their toxic fluids onto the restless zombies below.

Becker clutched at the wires around his throat and roared, “You again! What kind of monster are you? You think you can defeat Lord Becker? You’ll never succeed!”

Death flashed a sinister grin. “Is that so? In my city, you’ll die without a doubt!”

He pulled the wires tighter, cutting into Becker’s neck until blood began to seep out. Becker nearly lost consciousness, but with a surge of brute strength, he hurled himself at Death. Death slipped aside with ease, leaving Becker to crash to the ground, crushing two zombies beneath his bulk.

Seizing the terrified creatures, Becker stabbed the broken infusion tubes into their bodies, greedily draining their blood. In an instant, his body turned blood-red once more. With a furious howl, he tore free from the wires, grabbed a corpse, and hurled it through the air, striking Death square in the chest and sending him flying.

“I don’t care whose city this is—you’ll all regret opposing me!”

Becker seized a car from the ground and prepared to hurl it skyward, but the vehicle suddenly spun around, ramming him aside. Then, chaos erupted as all manner of objects—stones, tables, chairs—whirled through the air. At last, a chainsaw inexplicably flew up, slashing across Becker’s chest, tearing open a gaping wound that nearly exposed his entrails.

Death swooped in again, shouting, “I’ve activated super death mode! This city will be torn asunder, and your clan will never lay claim to it. Prepare for annihilation!”

With a wave of his hand, four or five skyscrapers collapsed in succession, crashing down to bury Becker beneath tons of rubble.

From beneath the ruins, Becker’s faint voice gasped, “Is this… all you’ve got? You think… you’ve seen the last of me?”

Suddenly, he pulled out a device like a remote control and slammed his thumb down on it. Instantly, the zombie horde exploded, releasing torrents of black venom that flooded the city, blotting out the sky.

Wujue and his companions, watching from the airship rising above it all, could not suppress the shock that surged through them. Becker’s final strike was not to be underestimated—a true fight to the death was underway.

Now, however, their airship itself was shaking violently, threatening to plunge back down into Death’s city at any moment.

At that critical moment, Death, Tian Yang, stood atop the ruins and laughed wildly at the sky. For the first time since taking up the mantle of Death, he revealed his true nature to the world, relishing the chance for an all-out battle.

At his gesture, the entire city began to crumble.

Skyscrapers toppled, the ground caved in, and everything was swept down to bury the dreadful virus. High above, a raging cyclone howled, buffeting the airship where Wujue and his companions clung.

At last, a final gust of wind carried them far from the city. Death vanished amid the collapsing metropolis, disappearing without a trace.

Those aboard the airship instantly sensed the change. Xiao Yang frantically steered them away from the city. It was a narrow escape—the wind carried them dozens of miles before Wujue warned everyone to brace themselves for a potentially dangerous landing.

Huron spoke up, “I think the danger is far from over. I can feel the airship about to break apart.”

“What should we do? We can’t just let it crash!” Xiao Han immediately flew out, using her mirror light to try to repair the ship.

But Xiao Yang shook his head. “It’s no use. There’s some strange force from the city—I think Death designed it this way. No one can escape. The airship’s about to explode.”

“Then we have to get out, now!” Wujue decided immediately, leading everyone toward the exit. The group quickly split up: Xiao Yang and Xiao Han, Wujue and Huron, Xun’er and An Yi—the ones who could fly took the ones who couldn’t, and they rushed out together.

The moment they escaped, the airship shattered, the explosion scattering the six of them in all directions.

Wujue only remembered Xiao Yang’s shout in his ear: “Once you’re safe, meet at City C to the north—don’t be late!”

And then, he could no longer hear anyone, plunging downward through the sky. Desperately struggling to control his fall, Wujue searched for Huron but saw no sign of him.

All he could do was adjust his posture and hope for salvation. Just as he glimpsed a rainbow-colored shadow below, his consciousness faded.
