Chapter Nineteen: Kill!

Guided by the guards at the entrance, Kamio and Robin made their way inside together. The guard felt that Kamio looked somewhat familiar, but he still couldn’t connect him to the four-hundred-million bounty posted years ago. After all, so much time had passed, and Kamio now gave off a far more mature air—just like a big young man.

They walked down a long corridor until a vast auction hall opened up before them. Though the Seven Warlords of the Sea had yet to appear and Doflamingo had not established his sway over this place, this was still the only auction house on the Sabaody Archipelago, and thus no one dared cause trouble here.

The auction had not yet begun. Kamio pulled Robin along, finding seats in the rearmost row. He called over a staff member, obtained a bidder’s number plate, and waited for the show to start.

“Hehe, why don’t you go rescue your future wife right now?” Robin leaned against Kamio’s shoulder, teasing him.

Kamio glanced at Robin, his eyes evasive. “Ahem, I’m not in a hurry yet—why are you? This time, I’ll let the world know that the Celestial Dragons deserve nothing but death!” His voice grew cold and fierce as he spoke.

Robin rolled her eyes at Kamio. “Don’t worry! I won’t get jealous. We’re like an old married couple by now, aren’t we?” she joked, lightening the awkwardness between them.

“Old married couple? Technically, you’re only sixteen, you know!” Kamio retorted, feigning annoyance.

“So what if I’m sixteen? I already belong to you, and there’s nothing you can do to change that,” Robin said softly, nestled in Kamio’s arms.

Kamio hugged Robin tightly and gently kissed her forehead. There was no need for further words—their bond was unshakable.

Soon, more and more people filed in. Kamio glanced back at the entrance, his eyes narrowing as a flash of killing intent surfaced. A man wearing a bubble-faced mask and dressed in white, his hair sticking up, entered with a similarly attired, overweight youth.

Celestial Dragons—the most detestable beings in the world of pirates. These very two, father and son, would be defeated by Luffy’s crew over a decade later. Kamio ignored them, turning instead to tighten his hold on Robin and gaze at the still-shrouded auction platform.

When the influx of guests ceased, about half the seats were filled—those present were either wealthy or noble. Many attendees had noticed Kamio and Robin, but though their faces were unfamiliar, nobody sought trouble. In this world, young faces often hid dangerous predators.

After a while, the auction officially began. The curtain onstage was drawn back to reveal the first lot—not an object, but a human. Tall and powerfully built—likely a pirate.

“Ladies and gentlemen, the auction begins now! Our first lot is the captain of the Black-Eye Pirates. Starting bid: five million Berries. He’s a strong one!” The auctioneer, a bespectacled young man, announced with a sly grin.

Kamio glanced at the burly man—his strength was impressive; in a decade or so, he might rival the Warlords. Kamio had no intention of bidding. In the end, a noblewoman bought the man for twenty million Berries—no doubt seeking to satisfy some unspoken desire.

Several more items went up for auction—some people, all pirates, and a few costly objects.

Sweeping his senses over the back, Kamio found the three Boa sisters crouched in a cage. But he also noticed something more intriguing.

“Next up is an old man—a master shipwright. Though advanced in age, he’s still capable of much. His name is Ray. Starting bid: one million Berries,” the auctioneer announced, his tone as lecherous as ever, showing not a hint of hesitation despite the man’s age—testament to his professionalism.

A white-haired old man stood on stage. If one looked closely, the keen light in his eyes betrayed his extraordinary nature.

“Robin, look at that old man,” Kamio said, patting her in his arms.

“Oh, him… Huh! He’s very strong—must be Haki. He’s refined it to the point of perfect concealment. How could someone like that have been caught by slavers?” Robin was surprised. She could now easily surpass him, but in his prime, he must have been a mighty figure. How had he fallen so low?

“Hehe, you’ll see soon enough,” Kamio replied with a grin, leaving the matter at that. He hadn’t expected this old man to have played such a role over a decade before the main story began.

Indeed, it was none other than Silvers Rayleigh, the former first mate of Gol D. Roger’s pirate crew.

Though an old man now, anyone or anything put up for auction here was far from ordinary. Rayleigh’s price quickly rose to five million. While not exorbitant, there were no further bids.

“I bid ten million!” Suddenly, a deep voice rang out from behind. All eyes turned—what would a pair of lovers want with an old man?

Robin looked at Kamio in surprise but chose not to ask, knowing she’d soon find out.

“Bidder 185 offers ten million Berries. Any higher offers?” The auctioneer glanced at Kamio, amazed that such a young man would want this old man, but carried out his duties professionally.

“Very well, the old man goes to bidder 185!” With no further bids, the auctioneer struck his gavel.

Rayleigh regarded the young man with curiosity. He looked oddly familiar, but Rayleigh couldn’t quite place him. No matter—he planned to seize a chance later to rob them and flee.

Rayleigh had yet to realize that these two seemingly ordinary youths were, in fact, deadly pirates—and that he even knew one of them. But Kamio and Robin concealed their presence so well that Rayleigh sensed nothing.

Time passed quickly. After several more lots, Kamio spotted a Paramecia-type fruit—the Love-Love Fruit. After fierce competition, he acquired it for three hundred million Berries. Finally, it was the turn of the Boa sisters.

“Now we have the Snake Princesses from Amazon Lily. Since men are forbidden there, capturing even one woman from the island is a formidable challenge. After much effort, we have three. Bidding starts at one hundred million Berries,” the auctioneer declared, gesturing for the curtain to be drawn aside.

The Boa sisters, collars around their necks, stood on stage. At this point, they were only twelve years old and had yet to eat their Devil Fruits; Hancock’s two younger sisters were still very much little girls.

Boa Hancock stood in the center. Though still a child, her beauty even now hinted at the stunning woman she would become.

Kamio’s eyes flashed with murderous intent. Robin glanced at Kamio, then at Hancock, her delicate lips pursed.

As the Boa sisters were introduced, the Celestial Dragons had already set their sights on them, determined to buy these girls from Amazon Lily.

“Five hundred million,” the middle-aged Celestial Dragon announced.

“Saint Roswald bids five hundred million Berries. Any higher offers?” the auctioneer cried.

“One billion,” Kamio’s voice rang out.

The hall erupted in shock—no one had expected anyone to outbid a Celestial Dragon.

“Fifteen hundred million.”

“Two billion.”

“Three billion.”

“Five billion.”

When Kamio called out five billion, the middle-aged Celestial Dragon finally stood, drew his pistol, and roared, “You’ve got some nerve, daring to compete with the descendants of this world’s creators!”

Kamio’s gaze turned icy, a chill thick in the air. Roswald Saint immediately sensed the temperature drop, his legs trembling.

Kamio stood and said coldly, “Anyone who points a gun at me is already dead.”

“Soru.” In an instant, Kamio vanished, reappearing the next moment. The clear sound of a sword sliding into its sheath echoed—Purple Emperor returned to its scabbard.

Blood spurted from the Celestial Dragon’s neck. Clutching his throat, he collapsed to the ground.

Rayleigh was stunned by Kamio’s display. He hadn’t seen the boy’s movement at all—one moment he was there, then gone and back, sword sheathed, and nothing else.

“Ah! Someone killed a Celestial Dragon! Run!” As the crowd realized what had happened, panic erupted and everyone scrambled to escape.

Someone had dared to defy the Celestial Dragons and outright kill one. The world had truly gone mad.

Rayleigh stared in disbelief at the young man, finally realizing who he was.

The younger Celestial Dragon stood frozen in terror, while guards frantically called the nearby Marine base at Mary Geoise, seeking reinforcements.

But as fate would have it, the admiral stationed here was none other than Aokiji Kuzan—the very same ice man who had once been utterly humiliated by Kamio...
