Chapter Fourteen: The Annihilation of the Navy
Kuzan and Sakazuki exchanged glances, nodded slightly, and in a flash, both vanished with a "Shave."
Kamiel curled his lip, and with a sidestep, dodged the attack, quickly retreating. Watching the two reappear on the deck, Kamiel felt a twinge of annoyance.
"Damn, where's my cigarette? Are you two looking for trouble?" He glanced at the stub of his Great China left in his hand and snorted coldly.
"Flash Step." Kamiel vanished mid-air and reappeared beside Akainu's left flank, delivering a downward kick.
With a thunderous crash, Akainu was kicked straight through the deck, tumbling into the interior of the battleship.
"Ice Age!" Not far away, Kuzan pressed his hands to the ground and shouted. Instantly, the deck was covered in a sheet of ice. Kamiel snorted, unleashed his Haki to its fullest, shattering the ice and cracking the ship's railings. The distant marines who had launched surprise attacks collapsed one by one, leaving only some officers and a few vice admirals, their legs trembling.
Kuzan forced a bitter smile—he hadn't expected the opponent's reaction to be so swift, and with the power of Conqueror's Haki, how could they hope to fight?
Suddenly, magma burst from beneath Kamiel's feet, punching a hole through the deck. Akainu surged upward, blood streaming from his shoulder, slightly wounded.
"Flash Step." Kamiel appeared dozens of meters in the air, raised his blade, and cleaved downward. A torrent of violet sword energy erupted forth.
Kuzan and Akainu below saw Kamiel vanish and sensed something amiss. By the time they realized, the sword energy was already unstoppable; they could only escape using Moonwalk to another nearby battleship.
Kamiel watched as the warship split in two—the marines killed, wounded, or revived from unconsciousness only to fall into the sea. With another "Flash Step," he appeared on the deck of the last ship.
He unleashed his Haki entirely, scattering the clouds overhead. The ship's railings exploded amidst booming blasts.
The marines in the sea could not escape disaster; with Kamiel's Haki at full force, they fainted and sank to the depths—ah, a fitting end!
Now, only Kuzan and Akainu remained conscious on the last battleship, sitting dazed on the deck.
Kamiel surveyed his surroundings—no one else could stand, just these two future admirals staring at him in shock.
Though Kamiel had used Haki earlier, this release was far more intense, stunning sea creatures for miles around. Soon, some Sea Kings floated to the surface.
"Still want to fight?" Kamiel crouched near Kuzan and Akainu, surrounded by fallen marines—some with glazed eyes, some frothing at the mouth.
He reached into his pocket, took out a pack of Great China, lit one with a flash of lightning from his fingers, inhaled deeply, and blew out several smoke rings, showing off.
"Hey, what's the name of the one who plays with ice?" Kamiel stared at Kuzan and asked.
Kuzan shuddered under Kamiel's crimson gaze. "Vice Admiral Kuzan, Marine Headquarters," he sighed. Unable to fight or flee, with such heavy losses, would he be demoted for this?
"And the one with magma?" Kamiel glanced at Akainu, then ignored him.
"Vice Admiral Sakazuki, Marine Headquarters," Akainu grunted. "You'll die sooner or later—no one who opposes the Marines meets a good end." Akainu was almost provoked to leap up by Kamiel's contemptuous look, but realized he was being toyed with, so he stayed put—survival was precious.
Kamiel ignored Akainu's words and addressed Kuzan, "Vice admiral, huh? I wonder how the admirals would fare—hehe."
Kuzan sized up Kamiel curiously—a boy of fourteen or fifteen, wielding a Supreme Grade sword, possessing powerful Conqueror's Haki, apparently having eaten a formidable Logia-type Thunder Fruit. Without even using his devil fruit abilities, he single-handedly defeated ten Marine warships with virtually no resistance. Such power rivaled Whitebeard, who dominated the second half of the Grand Line. How could a youth like this remain unknown? Was he protecting that stone? Or just living here?
"You can go. If you want to come back, bring a hundred warships or more admirals—otherwise, it's no fun. Remember my name—Elros D. Kamiel, haha." With that, Kamiel vanished from the deck.
Kuzan and Akainu exchanged glances, their eyes filled with shock and humiliation—a hundred warships and several admirals...
The next moment, Kamiel appeared in the streets of Ohara. With a wave of his hand, Robin, her mother, and many archaeologists appeared in the street.
Robin looked around, then rushed into Kamiel's arms.
"Brother Kamiel, are you alright? Robin was so worried." Her eyes brimmed with tears. Kamiel gently wiped them away, looking at the girl who, thanks to training, had matured into a young maiden.
"Hehe, don't you know who your brother Kamiel is? The Marines have already fled," Kamiel patted his chest, as if to say he was quite impressive.
"What? The Buster Call had ten warships, five vice admirals, and masses of elite marines—and you drove them off?" The giant vice admiral Saul stared at Kamiel's casual words, so shocked he sat down, kicking up a cloud of dust.
Saul knew well the power of the Buster Call—it could wipe an island from the map. Yet a half-grown youth had sent them packing.
"Hehe, that's right," Kamiel replied coldly, his gaze intimidating Saul into silence.
"I'm Robin's mother, Nico Olvia. What's your relationship with Robin?" Olvia looked at the boy before her, noting her daughter's reaction to Kamiel—it was obvious their relationship was exceptional.
Robin, embarrassed by her mother's question, hid in Kamiel's embrace, her cheeks glowing red, making Kamiel's eyes nearly turn into hearts.
"Er, I'm Elros D. Kamiel. Robin is my fiancée, so I should call you 'Aunt,' right?" Kamiel gently rubbed Robin's head, speaking with conviction. She pinched his waist shyly.
"So, you're Robin's future husband?" Olvia flashed a charming smile, nearly stunning Kamiel. When Robin grew up, she'd be Olvia's spitting image, only with black hair instead of silver-white. At this moment, Olvia was at the age Robin would be at the start of the future story—she could easily compete with her daughter.
Kamiel smiled awkwardly, looking tenderly at Robin's shy face, and nodded gently.
"By the way, what will you do next? The Marines will surely come again, and next time it won't just be ten warships—they might send a hundred, perhaps even admirals. I won't be able to protect this place then." Kamiel's smile faded as he addressed the archaeologists.
...
"Bruru bruru bruru..." At Marineford, the Marine Headquarters in the Sacred Land, Fleet Admiral Sengoku was reviewing documents when the Den Den Mushi beside him rang.
"This is Sengoku. Who is it?" Sengoku picked up the receiver.
"Cough, cough, this is Vice Admiral Kuzan of Marine Headquarters, currently executing the Buster Call on Ohara." Kuzan's weak voice came from the other end.
"Well? Mission accomplished? Why do you sound off?" Sengoku sensed something was wrong.
"Cough, cough, sorry, we failed, Fleet Admiral Sengoku. The enemy is too strong—we were wiped out." Kuzan spoke the words Sengoku least wanted to hear.
"What? Tell me clearly. Isn't Ohara just a bunch of archaeologists? How could there be resistance? Aren't they all civilians? How could you be wiped out?" Sengoku was shocked and enraged, startling the little lamb beside him.
"There was only one enemy, but his power was overwhelming. Ten warships had no chance," Kuzan replied frankly.
"One?" Sengoku calmed down, wondering who could possess such strength. Surely not Whitebeard—he was still in the second half of the Grand Line.
"Just one. His name is Elros D. Kamiel, a boy of fourteen or fifteen," Kuzan said.
"I see. Return for now—give me a full report when you get back."
"Yes."
Sengoku frowned at Kamiel's name, muttering, "D, huh..."
