Because the restaurant was on the opposite shore of the amusement park lake, Taiyi and Jia Zhi Beast were currently sitting in a swan pedal boat heading there.

Reimaru said, "Honestly, I could have just flown you all over directly."

"Dirty tricks?"

Jia Zhi Beast burst out laughing. "That’s just a prank. No enemy would use such childish tactics."

Taiyi’s words made even confident Reimaru nod solemnly.

These Digimon were at different evolution stages, some still in growth phase, others at complete form, yet all sat quietly in their seats, waiting for the waiter to bring their ordered dishes.

There was only one waiter here—a pale yellow Digimon resembling a plant root, with antennae on its head like an Indian headdress.

At that moment, a Snotmon approached the front desk. "Check, please."

He pulled a green dollar bill from his slick green body.

Taiyi nodded inwardly, impressed with the local American-style restaurant.

During the dining rush, the Vegetablemon waiter was a bit flustered. Seeing Taiyi and his group, he was too busy to serve properly, but still managed a professional smile. "Welcome. Please find any open seat. Menus are at the upper left corner of the table. When you’re ready to order, just call me."

Taiyi glanced around; almost every table was occupied by Digimon.

Only a square table in the corner was empty.

Taiyi and the other three sat there.

After sitting, Jia Zhi Beast picked up the menu to order.

At that moment, a figure covered entirely by a long robe approached them.

"Excuse me, may I share your table?" The voice under the robe was female, surprising Taiyi.

Thinking back, all the Digimon they had met so far had male voices.

"Of course," Taiyi said, since this was the only available seat left in the restaurant.

The woman’s tone was not as reclusive as her appearance, but rather warm, even overly so, with a maturity a bit ahead of Taiyi’s eleven years.

"Thank you very much~ To show my gratitude, let me treat you today."

Jia Zhi Beast immediately handed over the menu. "I don’t mind."

Taiyi: ...

Reimaru lay on the somewhat small table. "Whoever pays is fine, hurry and order, I’m starving."

The robed stranger called the Vegetablemon waiter and ordered several signature dishes from the menu. The waiter took the order pad and went into the kitchen. Soon after, he returned with plates.

In no time, the table was filled with beautifully presented dishes.

The robed stranger sighed, "Ah, so beautiful. You can tell the chef’s dedication just from the appetizer plating."

He couldn’t help but wonder what kind of deft hands a Digimon like Eggmon must have to master such fine culinary arts.

The robed stranger then picked up a slice of carrot.

"Look at this carrot’s pattern: a large horn on each side—top, bottom, left, and right—plus four diagonal horns and a circular wheel in the center. It looks somewhat familiar..."

Taiyi frowned, sensing something was amiss.

The robed figure, seemingly unaware of the sudden tension, continued calmly, "I think I’ve seen this somewhere... where was it?"

"Ah~ I remember now." She placed the carrot against her chest, and her eyes beneath the robe glowed with a fierce red light, staring intently at Taiyi. "Boy, isn’t that the shape of your Courage Badge?"

"So she really is an enemy!"

Reimaru immediately stood up, his eyes turning into wild vertical pupils, muscles taut.

A swarm of black, bat-like energy bursts exploded from under the table, rising up to attack Taiyi and Reimaru.

Taiyi immediately covered his entire body with DigiSoul, breaking through the energy assault and counterattacking.

Reimaru stood in front of Jia Zhi Beast, using his powerful chest muscles to block the strike.

The enemy retreated outside the restaurant, the wind lifting her robe to reveal a devilish figure beneath.

Her left claw, smoking from Taiyi’s punch, she taunted, "So this is DigiSoul? Truly powerful~"

"Who the hell are you?" Taiyi ran out to confront the female demon Digimon.

She sneered, "I am a member of the Ultimate Demon Beast Corps, sent by the Ultimate Demon Beast King to take your life."

Ultimate Demon Beast?!

Taiyi’s heart skipped a beat, almost wondering if he had somehow traveled back in time again. Then he thought, since there was another version of himself in this parallel world, it wasn’t so strange that another Ultimate Demon Beast existed here.
