Ancient Garurumon: "The fury of the stars has been unleashed..."

Taichi Yagami, eleven years old this year, is a sixth-grade student at Odaiba Elementary School and an only child.
At present, he finds himself in a different world known as the Digital World. As for the blue dragon that follows him around and looks a bit like a puppy—according to its own claim, it is Taichi's partner, a Digimon called Veedramon.
The beginning of all this traces back to the time when Taichi participated in the Digimon Competition—the D-1 Grand Prix.
"Why am I not qualified to join the competition!"
Standing at the registration desk, Taichi questioned the organizers.
"Sorry... but your Digimon isn't in our game's program," the somewhat chubby host replied apologetically.
In Taichi's world, Digimon are actually a kind of video game, much like Tamagotchi. Players raise their own Digimon from the digital egg stage. Taichi began with a Black Ballmon, nurtured it into a Rolling Ballmon, then an Agumon, and finally it evolved into a Veedramon—a Digimon the organizers insisted didn't exist in their program.
For Taichi, Veedramon was almost like his child. He even named it Zero Maru (00), so when combined with Taichi's "1," together they symbolized an undefeated 100% win-rate team.
So when a guy next to him, who looked suspiciously like Koshiro, said it was a fake, Taichi immediately refuted him with all seriousness.
Thinking his device might be malfunctioning, Taichi sat on a nearby bench to see if he could fix it.
As for his repair method, it was Taichi's famous move—so much so that it had become a secret technique at the neighboring girls' school: the "forty-five-degree slant-and-slap mechanical repair method."
The result was that Taichi's Digivice emitted a dazzling golden light, which enveloped him. At the same moment, he vaguely heard a voice.
"Welcome to Holy Angel City."
His vision went black. When he awoke again, he was in the heart of a forest, with only Veedramon beside him, joyfully gazing up at him.
"Ah, nowadays anime protagonists are all high school students. Stories where elementary schoolers save the world are probably out of style," Taichi remarked offhandedly as he gazed at the white clouds drifting across the sky.
It had been a week since Taichi first arrived in the Digital World. During this time, he and his partner Zero Maru had explored the forest and heard from other Digimon that they were on an island called File Island. As for Holy Angel City, no one had ever heard of it.
Has my Digital World adventure gone off script?
As he pondered this, Zero Maru returned to his side, carrying food and water gathered from nearby.
During this time, Zero Maru had been living quite comfortably.

After all, he was a Digimon native to the Digital World, and the forest was filled with nothing but weak, rookie-level Digimon. Even the few champion-level ones were no match for Veedramon.
Within a week, he had already turned the surrounding forest into his own backyard.
It really is true—alien species invasions are terrifying.
Taichi accepted the fruit Zero Maru handed him, which looked like an apple but had a swirling pattern on its skin. At first, Taichi was hesitant to eat such suspicious-looking fruit, worried he might never swim again once he did.
But after surviving in the wild for a week, he could now eat boldly.
"Oh, today's is pizza-flavored."
Seated on Zero Maru's back as his partner carried him along, Taichi surveyed the environment around them.
Everything was unfamiliar—plants and animals he had never seen in the human world. Only in the little streams did he occasionally spot a few fish he recognized.
"Is this Holy Angel City really here?"
"I don't know. I've never even heard of that place," Zero Maru replied, scratching his head. For the first part of his life, the only thing he thought about was when he would finally meet Taichi on the other side of the screen, never paying attention to the world around him.
So much so that Zero Maru hadn't even realized he was already in another Digital World.
"Maybe it's somewhere else on File Island?"
By now, they had reached the summit of one of the forested mountains. From here, they could see a towering peak rising into the clouds at the island's center, and in other directions, there were deserts and snowy fields.
Since Holy Angel City wasn't in this forest, they decided to begin exploring the rest of the island.
Thinking of this, Taichi couldn't help but grumble—if you wanted to welcome me to Holy Angel City, why not just drop me at its gates in the first place, you idiot!
"But maybe Holy Angel City is somewhere off the island—on a huge, vast continent," Zero Maru suggested, for once working his brain despite all the muscle in his head.
"If that's really the case, then we have no choice but to keep searching," Taichi replied resolutely, his fists tightening.
If things were really as Veedramon said, once he found the culprit who dragged him into this world, Taichi swore he'd give them a good lesson.
Drag them into a cave and have Zero Maru torment them for three whole months!

"In any case, let's circle File Island first. Zero, let’s go!" Having made up his mind, Taichi snapped his fingers.
Suddenly, a commotion arose in the forest below, and the sound of insect wings buzzing filled their ears.
A giant red stag beetle, five or six meters tall, burst from the trees and flew straight up to meet Taichi.
This creature was called Kuwagamon, originally the overlord of this forest. When Taichi first arrived in the Digital World, he happened upon Kuwagamon searching for food. The fierce beast attacked Taichi at once.
But Zero Maru had grabbed him out of the air, broke off one of his horns, and smashed the other with a punch. From then on, Kuwagamon had become Taichi and Zero Maru's... well, not archrival, but actually their good friend (to be precise).
Taichi and Zero Maru hopped onto Kuwagamon's back. For Taichi, it was nothing, but when Veedramon jumped up, Kuwagamon's flying altitude dropped noticeably.
"Zero, you really need to lose some weight," Taichi said, casting Veedramon a sidelong glance.
"What are you talking about! Compared to Greymon, I'm slim!"
Zero Maru crossed his arms over his chest, showing no intention of changing.
"Forget it," Taichi shook his head. He wondered if Digimon could get obesity-related illnesses. "Kuwagamon, let’s go!"
"Kuu~ga," Kuwagamon replied, and Taichi could almost see two streams of tears running down his face like noodles.
At last, these two harbingers of misfortune were leaving!
"Is it because you can't bear to part with us? Why don't you just come along with us, Kuwagamon?" Taichi said affectionately, stroking Kuwagamon's red-and-black shell. What boy could resist such a cool-colored giant bug?
Kuwagamon nearly crashed at those words, and when he felt Taichi's hand, his carapace broke out in goosebumps.
The flight, which had been sluggish due to Zero Maru's weight, suddenly sped up like a jet plane.
In no time, Kuwagamon had carried Taichi and Zero Maru to the beach at the foot of the mountain.
