That day, we too turned into light, breathing forth a golden V-shaped arrow.
“V-Dramon, Armor Evolution!”
Under the power of the miracle, Daisuke’s D-3 Tyrannomon was completely transformed into gold, bathed in a radiance even brighter than sunlight. The armor, forged from golden Chrono Digital Alloy, was so impenetrable that even ultimate attacks could not leave a scratch upon it. When it was born, half the sky was illuminated by its brilliance.
“Golden Armor Dragon!”
Taichi was unwilling to be outdone. “Zero, let’s go too—Armor Evolution!”
A light no less dazzling than the miracle armor burst forth from Taichi’s Digimon. In the hazy glow, Taichi seemed to see a girl dressed in white and pink leading numerous tamers, their forms dissolving into beams of shining light that flowed into him and Zeromaru.
Just as he regained his senses, Zeromaru’s body was coated in a golden sheen, resembling a cosmic emperor who had trained for four months.
“Golden V-Dragon!”
“Zero has finally evolved… though the change isn’t that big,” Taichi sighed with emotion.
Though its appearance still resembled V-Dragon, the power surging from within grew like a nuclear fusion every second, each moment stronger than the last.
Meanwhile, in a shift of balance, the interdimensional beast that had expelled two digital spirits from its body suddenly weakened dramatically.
Those two digital spirits were crystallizations of power from tamers absorbed from parallel worlds—essentially the data volume of the interdimensional beast itself.
He could never have imagined that, originally intending only to absorb the power of two tamers, he would inadvertently lose all the power he had accumulated since his birth!
“Beep beep, beep beep beep—!”
The interdimensional beast’s body began to digitize, but by this point, escape was no longer an option.
“Zero!”
“Roar!”
Before Zeromaru’s response faded, he was already behind the interdimensional beast. Using indescribable speed and monstrous strength, he directly gouged out one of its eyes.
This eye was the key organ used to unleash ultimate attacks and absorb data—second only to the digital core in importance.
Deprived of this vital organ, the interdimensional beast’s entire body stiffened. Zeromaru instantly turned back, the momentum from his near-teleportation speed fading as if it never existed.
A surge of explosive energy condensed and compressed in his mouth, transforming into a golden stream.
This was the V-Arrow Breath in its golden state, whose power multiplied many times over with Zeromaru’s heightened emotions.
The interdimensional beast’s upper body vaporized instantly, and Daisuke realized that its body was divided into two parts. As the upper half was destroyed, the lower half detached just before being consumed by heat and fled into the distance.
“Trying to run?” Having evolved again into Golden Armor Dragon, Daisuke was eager to show off. “Golden Armor Dragon!”
As a noble holy knight-type Digimon, Golden Armor Dragon naturally possessed the ability to fly. Unlike Zeromaru’s incomprehensible speed, its movement left a beautiful golden arc in the air.
Approaching the fleeing lower half of the interdimensional beast, Golden Armor Dragon’s armor shone brighter than the sun. The miracle armor within pushed its power to the limit, releasing energy waves from every inch of its body.
“Ultimate Holy War Wave!”
Perhaps because Golden Armor Dragon’s defense was so dazzling, its offensive power was often underestimated.
But in truth, it wielded strength comparable to or even surpassing that of an ultimate form!
Under the combined ultimate attacks of these two top-tier armored Digimon, the interdimensional beast met its end.
From another perspective, to die recklessly at the hands of Zeromaru and Golden Armor Dragon was a fitting demise.
With the interdimensional beast’s passing, Zeromaru and Golden Armor Dragon reverted back to their original forms.
The destiny digital spirits were imprinted on the Digivice’s screen.
Before they could celebrate, Daisuke and the eye that had absorbed the tamers began to digitize.
Just as Taichi predicted: “With the interdimensional beast defeated, the data from its abilities summoned into this world will start to return.”
“Looks like it’s time to part ways.”
Daisuke looked at Taichi, tears in his eyes. “Taichi senpai!”
“Don’t look so glum, Daisuke. You’re a great tamer,” Taichi said, patting Daisuke’s head. “The me from the parallel world really has good taste.”
Though being patted by a peer was hardly something to boast about, when it was Taichi senpai, it felt entirely different.
“Taichi senpai, meeting you has truly been the greatest miracle of my life.”
Taichi smiled. “Our lives are still long, Daisuke. You don’t need to make final judgments about your future so soon.”
“Keep those goggles safe. If you let them get dusty by the next time we meet, I won’t go easy on you!”
To add weight to his words, Taichi shook his fist. Seeing this fist that had once fought an ultimate form made Daisuke sweat nervously.
“Wait, you said next time?” Daisuke exclaimed. “We’ll meet again?”
“Isn’t that obvious?” Taichi gave a thumbs-up. “No matter which world we’re in, Digimon connect us.”
“Since there’s a first meeting, there’ll be a second. I’m not the kind of person to be satisfied with just one adventure in a single world.”
Staring at the confident Taichi before him, Daisuke paused, then couldn’t help but laugh. “That’s true.”
“You really are amazing, Taichi senpai. I’m completely hooked on you!”
The reluctance of farewell quietly dissipated.
“Goodbye.”
“Goodbye.”
---
Daisuke and V-Dramon vanished before his eyes. In Taichi’s heart, hope burned brightly that they would meet again in the future.
“Well then, it’s time for us to leave the cave, Zero.”
“No matter where you go, Taichi, I’ll be with you.”
Before Taichi and Zeromaru, a shimmering golden portal opened.
Without hesitation, Taichi swung his cloak and stepped through with Zeromaru.

At the other end of the cave, Fairymon held a long spear, waiting.
Glancing at the darkening sky, Fairymon murmured, “It’s about time to come out.”
Fairymon was a Digimon capable of appearing at any place, time, or space, and it had applied this ability within the cave.
Even Fairymon itself did not know where Taichi and Zeromaru would emerge.
“Tap, tap, tap.”
Footsteps echoed from deep within the cave.
In moments, Taichi and Zeromaru appeared before Fairymon.
“How do you feel?” Fairymon asked.
Taichi didn’t answer but looked toward the barrier Fairymon had set up not far away.
He could faintly sense something calling him.
Instead of approaching, Taichi held out his hand and gestured in the air.
Two badges immediately responded, coming to him and automatically pairing with his Evolution Keys.
Looking at the five badges shining on Taichi’s chest, Fairymon found this more convincing than any explanation.
“That leaves two badges remaining.”
Staring at the two Evolution Keys yet to be filled with badges, Taichi murmured.
“I wonder if collecting all seven badges can summon a dragon god.”
