“Damn it. That silver-haired girl is absolutely going to pay for this.”

On the other side, Ginfney, who had already suffered at the hands of Moyuna and still learned nothing from it, was walking through the corridor of the student dormitory with two maids in tow. She had already obtained Moyuna’s room number from the dorm matron, and now she planned to strike while the girl was away: put cockroaches into her bed, then set down a recording crystal and capture the scene of her panicking in utter disgrace. That was her perfect plan.

Click.

With the interference crystal’s effect, the crystal embedded in the door lost its function, and Ginfney smoothly pushed the door open and slipped inside.

Moyuna’s room was remarkably clean. To say it was spotless would not be an exaggeration, but it was precisely that perfection that aroused suspicion. There was not a single sign that anyone had ever slept in the large bed, and not a single daily necessity sat on the cabinet.

“She doesn’t live here?”

The scene inside left the drill-haired girl momentarily dumbfounded. Just how much courage had she spent to pick up the bottle of cockroaches in her hand? In the end, all she had done was disgust herself. It was like throwing a punch at empty air.

“Could she be staying somewhere else?”

“With someone she’s close to.”

The two maids offered their analysis one after another, and Ginfney also began to think about who was closest to Moyuna. Very quickly, she remembered that very mysterious teacher whose name had been circulating all over the place.

“You mean she could...?”

Ginfney was truly frightened now. If her guess proved true, then Ruby would be the first teacher ever to live with a female student. And that student was the principal’s disciple at that. No matter how tolerant the principal might be, she would probably turn him into an ice sculpture.

“Ruby, what’s wrong? Hurry and come in.”

By evening, after finishing the dinner Ruby had personally cooked, the girl of the Magic God returned home with a deeply satisfied expression, preparing to lounge lazily for a while. Yet when she saw him standing at the door with a thoughtful look on his face, she did not think much of it and simply urged him on, pushing him inside as she spoke.

“Phew, home at last, home at last.”

Moyuna took off her plain white outer dress and threw it to the floor. With dust-cleansing magic in the house, it was always spotless anyway. She flopped face-first onto the sofa. Since entering school, she had naturally always lived here. As for sleeping alone, that was impossible; it was absolutely impossible for her to sleep alone in this life. Of course she shared a room with Ruby and got by that way. She occupied the sofa, and Ruby could squat wherever he liked.

“Are you a child? Don’t just throw your clothes around.”

Ruby sighed helplessly, picking up the dress that still carried the girl’s warmth. Then he glanced at Moyuna, who was lying on the sofa in nothing but a shirt and safety shorts, munching on an apple. He could not help but wonder why the revered Magic God of all people had turned into this. After a long and serious contemplation, he concluded that perhaps it was his fault.

“Washing them for me won’t kill you. Go on, go on.”

Moyuna waved him away. Of course he was the one who should handle the laundry. He had laundry of his own to do anyway, so it was no trouble. Still, the girl who was the Magic God had some sense of boundaries; things like undergarments were still handled by herself.

“Aha! Caught you red-handed. So the two of you really are living together. I’m going to make the whole school know about this.”

The curtain that had been hanging there suddenly flew up. Ruby only caught a flash of blond hair in his vision, and after the blond girl snapped several pictures of the two of them with a recording crystal, she burst into delighted laughter.

“One of your friends?”

After a few seconds of silence, Ruby asked. Well, to be honest, anyone who was not blind could see the pair of bare little feet peeking out beneath the curtain. The reason he had not immediately exposed her was simply that he could not bear to mock such a hopelessly stupid thief.

“Do I look like someone who’d be friends with an idiot?”

Moyuna shot back at once. She had long since noticed the uninvited guest of the same intellectual tier as Aqua, but she could not be bothered to move. Ruby simply shook his head and went to the bathroom to wash the clothes.

“Scared now? You’re just a commoner, and yet you’re so arrogant. You made me waste all that time waiting for you to come back, didn’t you?”

Ginfney covered her mouth with her hand and let out a delighted laugh, her deep blue eyes fixed on Moyuna’s as she spoke.

“That drill.”

“I am not a drill!”

“Even if you think that thing in your hand is useful, have you ever considered how you’re going to get away?”

Moyuna tilted her head, adopting a thoughtful pose as she asked with mild puzzlement.

“Huh?”

Ten minutes later, when Ruby finished washing the clothes and came out, he found that the drill-haired girl had already been hung from the ceiling by Moyuna using vines, tied in a work of art resembling a turtle-shell restraint. Dragon floated nearby, carefully inspecting his masterpiece and looking extremely pleased with himself.

“Let me go! Let me go!”

Seeing Ruby come out, the shame on Ginfney’s face deepened, but the more she struggled, the more the vines tightened. Especially the one crossing the base of her thighs; it was inching ever closer to a dangerous area.

Ruby did not know what grievance the two of them held against each other. He beckoned Dragon over, had him dry the clothes with fire, and then made use of him as an electric iron to start pressing them smooth.

“Sure, I can let you go. Let me think... how do nobles usually bully people with their power...? Got it. Lick my feet.”

As she spoke, Moyuna removed her socks and extended a small foot as white as jade toward Ginfney. Because she was hanging upside down, the drill-haired girl could not avoid it no matter how hard she tried. The foot pressed against her face, and she looked so wronged that she was nearly in tears. Yet she had no choice but to face the little foot humiliating her. Looking closely, it really was lovely—so white and delicate, every toe as soft and pearly as a string of beads. And Moyuna’s body was very clean; even after wearing socks all day, her foot carried no odor at all. Ginfney suddenly felt that it was not quite so unacceptable after all.

“Stop it. Don’t be such a pervert.”

Just before Ginfney began to think, I can actually accept this; once I do, it kind of feels oddly exciting, Ruby could no longer stand to watch. He struck Moyuna on the head with a sharp chop of his hand. With obvious reluctance, she pouted, confiscated the recording crystal, and then tossed Ginfney out through the window.

Ginfney puffed out her cheeks and tore off the softened vines from her body. Though her face was still filled with indignation, she turned back toward Ruby’s window and mouthed a sentence at him. After reading it, Ruby froze completely.

What she had said was...

Thank you?

P.S. For those in the front row, this blond girl is definitely not a masochist. Mm-hmm.
