Smack!
Qin Ruhua slammed her hand on the table and shouted angrily, “Sun Wen, you’ve gone too far! What does my boyfriend have to do with you?”
Everyone was stunned and fell silent.
It seemed that when the goddess was angry, she truly had a certain intimidating presence.
Sun Wen’s face stiffened; embarrassed and furious, he sneered, “I was only asking normal questions. Is there something to hide? Besides, I didn’t force him!”
Though he verbally denied coercion, at this moment, wasn’t he using pressure to embarrass others deliberately?
Qin Ruhua was clearly upset but didn’t want to argue with him in public. She turned to me and said, “Chu Fan, you don’t need to bother with him. If you have something to do, just go ahead and leave.”
I patted Qin Ruhua’s shoulder, seizing the chance to gain a slight advantage in words, smiling, “Wife, it’s not worth getting angry over such a petty clown!”
Then I turned to Sun Wen coldly, “What kind of company does your family own?”
Sun Wen responded arrogantly, “Tianwen Garment Trading.”
A garment company, huh? That might be useful.
“Good! I’ll give you two choices: first, sell the company to me at a low price; second, disappear from Tianhe City!” I waved my hand indifferently. “You’ve made enough noise, it’s time for you to get lost!”
The surrounding students were taken aback, curiously looking at me again.
Furious, Sun Wen laughed bitterly, “You’re such a good actor! Qin Ruhua, look closely at his true colors. With that pathetic look, he dares to threaten to buy my family’s company? We’re classmates, and I’m kindly warning you not to be fooled!”
Upon hearing this, the other students all turned their gaze to Qin Ruhua.
No matter what, they still trusted Sun Wen’s family’s strength more. There were too many pretenders in society; maybe I was just pretending too! Otherwise, why would a poser not arrive in a luxury car?
Ma Hou quietly sipped his wine, a sly smile creeping on his lips.
Qin Ruhua was both embarrassed and angry, speaking incoherently, “Sun Wen, are you done? Our business is none of your concern. Even if I was deceived by him, it was willingly. What’s it to you?”
Silly girl, how can you say you were willingly deceived by me? That only makes others believe I tricked you even more!
The students nearby looked at Qin Ruhua with a hint of pity, but didn’t dare say much.
A blonde-haired girl advised, “Sun Wen, maybe you should say less.”
I silently poured myself a beer, then suddenly splashed it in Sun Wen’s face, saying coldly, “Get lost!”
Damn! If this wasn’t Qin Ruhua’s graduation party, I’d have dealt with him long ago!
Splash!
Sun Wen’s face was drenched in beer.
“Damn! How dare you splash me!” Sun Wen roared angrily, his face flushed red, about to rush up to fight, but a few boys nearby quickly held him back.
“Enough. We’re classmates; don’t make this so unpleasant.”
At that moment, Qin Ruhua grabbed my arm. Although I clearly had no intention of escalating, she was afraid I might act, and said, “Chu Fan, forget it, let him go.”
My eyes lit up. Finally, this silly girl said the right thing—letting him go shows strength!
I wrapped my arm around Qin Ruhua’s shoulder, smiling, “Wife, I’ll listen to you. This time, I’ll let him go.”
Qin Ruhua was startled, her face flushing deeply. She quickly freed herself and gave my waist a hard pinch, glaring fiercely.
Sun Wen obviously heard Qin Ruhua’s words. Though he had calmed down, he now sneered furiously, pointing at me and shouting, “Let me go? I’m telling you, this isn’t over! I won’t argue with you tonight, but after tomorrow, you’ll be begging on your knees!”
I sneered slightly, seeing he wouldn’t give up without a fight.
I took out my phone to call Sister Yuan.
Suddenly, from behind the screen, a man shouted fiercely, “Who the hell’s being so arrogant? Quiet down!”
The students were startled, all looking toward Sun Wen, not daring to speak.
Sun Wen turned, shouting angrily, “Who are you?”
Bang!

Chaos erupted next door, chairs being thrown around—it sounded like quite a few people.
The students were frightened.
Sun Wen’s face changed, seeming to regret something.
Bang!
The screen divider was kicked over.
About a dozen young men in flashy clothes, looking like thugs, strode over menacingly.
Sun Wen was standing alone.
The group of thugs glared at Sun Wen fiercely, shouting, “Was it you acting tough just now?”
Sun Wen’s face turned pale but he forced calm, “Who are you?”
“Damn it!”
One of the thugs sprinted at Sun Wen with the speed of a hundred meters dash, kicked Sun Wen squarely in the face with a loud bang, sending him crashing into a nearby table, scattering dishes and cups everywhere!
Wow!
All the students’ expressions changed drastically, and they stood up in an instant.
Even if they were afraid, seeing their classmate being beaten, they had to stand up.
I was somewhat surprised because those dozen thugs looked familiar—they must be Sister Yuan’s men, the ones I had taught a lesson to earlier in the afternoon at Cangqing Village.
They were probably in a bad mood after being scolded by Sister Yuan following my beating and came here to eat; Sun Wen just happened to be in their way.
I had only heard Sister Yuan’s influence mainly covered the Central and Southern districts, but I never expected to meet them here.
“What the hell are you doing? Looking for death?” one thug growled.
Although only about a dozen, the thugs radiated a strong aura of menace, pointing at the students, immediately intimidating them. The students, seeing the thugs didn’t attack Sun Wen again, took advantage of the situation.
But the thug who kicked Sun Wen wasn’t done. He stepped forward fiercely, grabbed Sun Wen by the hair, and yanked his head up forcefully.
A few students tried to intervene.
“Enough, stop it now.”
“If you don’t, we’ll call the police!”
Swish!
The thug drew a dagger from his pocket and slowly pointed it at several students nearby, the tip almost touching their faces, shouting, “What, want to die? Sit down if you don’t want to die!”
The dagger silenced the students, but they had no intention of sitting.
Sun Wen was dizzy from the powerful kick, expression dazed, his face smeared with food, hair caught by the thug, head tilted awkwardly, looking pitiful.
The girls around turned pale and huddled together.
Several waitresses wanted to intervene but were blocked by other thugs.
Qin Ruhua grabbed my arm tightly, leaning close.
I smiled softly, “Don’t be afraid, I’m here.”
Hearing this, Qin Ruhua seemed to recall the morning’s incident, looked at me hesitantly, “Can you stop them?”
I smiled, “I can. Why, do you want to help him?”
Qin Ruhua whispered, “No matter what, we’re classmates. If they find out you have this ability but don’t help, they’ll think we’re cold and heartless.”
“Alright, I’ll do as you say.”
As we spoke, the thug pressed the dagger to Sun Wen’s face, shouting, “You’re pretty arrogant, huh? Why aren’t you so arrogant now? I’m in a bad mood today, you know…”
“Cut it out, let him go!” I looked up calmly.
“Who the hell are you?” the thug shouted, turning his head.

When he saw me, he was stunned, hesitated, dropped the dagger, his legs went weak, and he knelt down in terror, “Brother Fan, it’s you! We were blind, please forgive us.”
The other thugs all knelt down too, losing all their previous swagger.
Their fear of me was probably because of Sister Yuan. Otherwise, with my personal strength alone, they’d at most be scared off, not kneeling and begging.
The students nearby were amazed, wide-eyed, looking at me. Even Qin Ruhua was surprised.
I waved my hand with a smile, “Alright, go on with your business.”
“Yes, yes, we’re leaving now. Brother Fan, please forgive us.” The dozen or so thugs fled down the stairs like they’d been pardoned.
The students remained stunned, unable to react immediately.
Sun Wen gradually regained composure, wiped the food off his face, looked at me complicatedly, then quickly left down the stairs. No one dared call after him.
I asked the waiter to clean up the overturned dishes and brought new ones.
This time, the boys behaved well, especially the three sitting at my table—they all kept their heads down, avoiding eye contact.
Qin Ruhua’s big eyes glanced around on my face quietly, “Chu Fan, how do you know them?”
“I taught them a lesson last time,” I smiled. Seeing their awkwardness, I stood and went outside to the stairs.
I first called Ling Xuan to see if she wanted the Tianwen Garment Trading company; she refused outright.
Actually, getting the company was useless to me; I intended to give it to Ling Xuan. Since she didn’t want it, so be it. But I already mentioned it, so it couldn’t be undone.
Then I called Sister Yuan, told her I was busy tonight, and asked if she knew the company. She hadn’t heard of it, so I told her to find the boss’s number online and tell him his son offended me. If he wanted the company to run smoothly, his son had to come apologize. Sister Yuan agreed immediately.
Though Sun Wen had been beaten by Sister Yuan’s men, since he threatened me, I wouldn’t let it go so easily.
Finally, Sister Yuan learned I was in the Central District and taking a taxi, so she arranged a driver for me, which I accepted.
Back in the hall, the students had returned to normal, chatting happily. With the stimulation of alcohol, the atmosphere was even livelier than before.
I sat down, and Qin Ruhua gave me a gentle smile, her eyes full of warmth.
The blonde girl next to her joked, “Chu Fan, looks like we can safely leave painting to you in the future. Don’t bully her, okay?”
Qin Ruhua quickly playfully tapped her.
I laughed, “Don’t worry, I’ll treat my painting like a princess.”
“Oh, a princess! So enviable.” The blonde teased.
Qin Ruhua blushed slightly, quietly reaching under the table to pinch my thigh.
After half an hour, Sun Wen suddenly came down the stairs.
He had changed into clean clothes but no longer had his arrogance. He glanced at me from afar, lowered his head, looking dejected, his face still swollen and red.
The other students quieted down when Sun Wen returned, all staring at him.
Sun Wen kept his head down, took a glass and a bottle of wine, came by me cautiously, poured and drank a full glass in one gulp, refilled and drank again, three times in total.
The students exchanged looks, seeming to understand something, then all looked at me.
After drinking, Sun Wen’s hoarse voice said, “Chu Fan, I was wrong earlier. I’m shallow and narrow-minded, ignorant of the world. I hope you can forgive my mistakes.”
I smiled gently, filled a glass, drank it down, and said, “Since you’re classmates with Ruhua, let’s call it even! Sit down and eat with us!”
“I have family matters to attend to, so I won’t stay,” Sun Wen said as a farewell, then hurried away.
This time, all the students looked at me with respect.
Though Sun Wen came and went, he was a proud student with a background, somewhat aloof in class. Others didn’t pay him much attention, quickly moving on to their own things. The table grew lively once more.
