Chapter 90: The Beginning of Lies
Scorpion's face was so cold it seemed ready to drip water, but confronted by these four people, he truly had no solution. For a moment, he even regretted letting them out. Brian's expression was even more dreadful; he glanced at Fang Nian and silently pulled something from his pocket.
Fang Nian saw Brian’s every move.
"Mr. Brian, are you desperate now? If you really press that thing, even if you survive, I doubt the audience behind you would want to witness all this."
As soon as Fang Nian finished speaking, Brian lowered his hand. He looked at Fang Nian, and for the first time, there was a hint of pleading in his voice.
"Fang Nian, if you agree to stop here, I promise you won't lose anything. I can share everything I have with you—we can live together on this train, wealth, women, money, power, all yours to enjoy. As long as you don't go on, I guarantee all these people will disappear."
A gasp rippled through the crowd. Everyone was shocked that Brian would make such a blatant threat, treating their lives as if they were nothing.
But most people's attention shifted to Fang Nian. They wondered what leverage Fang Nian had over Brian. Judging by Brian’s offer, this matter must be incredibly important.
Everything Brian possessed—the status of a near-emperor on this apocalypse train—was a dream for all. Who wouldn’t understand what this meant? Anyone with greed would struggle to resist such a lucrative reward.
Yet, Fang Nian refused him instantly.
"I will not accept your offer, Brian... You're finished."
Without another word, Fang Nian grabbed a chair and smashed it against the same window as before. This time, he used even more force, shattering the window. Instead of a dramatic explosion, the window cracked, revealing its inner structure.
"Is that... a circuit board?"
Everyone saw it. Behind the window wasn’t the outside world at all, but a circuit board. Due to Fang Nian’s force, many of the boards were broken, wires snapped and sparking.
"What’s going on? Why is there a circuit board outside the window? Is the icy world we see just a lie—a three-dimensional projection?"
"It really seems so. I always felt something was off about those scenes—the frost seemed too real. Now it turns out it’s all fake?"

"Fake? If all this is fake, then what is this apocalypse train? Is there something wrong with my mind? I just can't understand it anymore."
...
The crowd buzzed with discussion, and Fang Nian gave them time to digest. Scorpion and Brian realized they couldn't cover up the truth any longer, and since Fang Nian was so unyielding, they could only turn their attention to Duan Rui, who had stood by Fang Nian’s side.
Brian glared at Duan Rui angrily.
"Girl, did you make up the Raven code just now?"
Duan Rui, without a hint of pride, replied to Brian.
"Yes. There’s no Raven code, no Raven tribe, and no blueprint. We invented it all, just to make you reveal your true colors. Otherwise, you’d keep pretending to be benevolent, a compassionate ruler, and our plan would never progress."
Brian looked at Hua Ban with a bitter smile.
"Who'd have thought, after a lifetime of shrewdness, I’d be undone by you two."
Duan Rui, perhaps having learned from Fang Nian, was coolly composed as she delivered her remark.
"You brought this on yourself."
Fang Nian ignored them and addressed everyone.
"You’ve all seen it now. There’s no frozen zone, no apocalypse, and no so-called apocalypse train. It’s all a lie Brian invented to trap you on this so-called train."
Fang Nian finally spoke a summary that stunned almost everyone.
They had lived on this train for so long—even their parents and grandparents had lived here. In their minds, everything on the train was reality.
Now, someone was telling them that everything they had experienced was false, everything they saw was fake, and even more terrifying, the world itself was a lie—and their Earth still existed.

For a moment, everyone struggled to believe it. Some, deep down, sensed it might be true, but still didn't dare face it, instead turning their words against Fang Nian, attacking, cursing, and slandering him from all sides.
Fang Nian understood that the arrow was nocked and had to be released. He ignored their unreasonable outcry and continued:
"Let me explain a simple phenomenon. You must have noticed, while coming here, you passed through nearly every carriage. You’ll have noticed that every room on this so-called train is a different size—some tall, some short, some long, some narrow—shapes that don’t fit a real train."
"But when you look outside through the window, you see an ordinary train, not like a mobile home with irregular compartments."
Upon hearing this, some voices rose to defend Brian.
"You bumpkin, you don’t understand a thing. This is an advanced spatial compression technology—it compresses space into a carriage, so from outside it looks like this. If you don’t know anything, don’t talk nonsense."
Fang Nian’s gaze turned cold.
"Do you understand this technology?"
The person was startled by Fang Nian’s sudden question, unable to answer. Brian had told them this for years, and they’d always believed it, but did they really understand spatial compression technology?
The answer, of course, was no.
Seeing the silence, Fang Nian continued.
"Just like this person, many believe spatial compression technology exists. Now I tell you, it does not. It’s just another excuse Brian used to brainwash you."
"And this is only the beginning of the lies—the greater deception is yet to come."
